چکیده
Abstract Background The identification, treatment, and control of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) infections are a major challenge for health care institutions diagnostic laboratories worldwide. A novel Carbapenemase-producing Bacteria Test Kit (Lateral Flow Assay) from Dynamiker Biotechnology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is qualitative test that was easy to operate can be widely accepted by clinical primary medical. Results read in just 15 minutes using colloidal gold immunochromatography, which detect double multiple carbapenemase types (Fig. 1). We analyzed the effectiveness carbapenemase-producing bacteria kit rapid detection CRE carbapenemase. Methods total 120 strains Enterobacterales blood culture were collected, including 80 40 CSE (carbapenem-susceptibility Enterobacteriaceae). PCR used KPC, NDM, IMP, VIM OXA-48 genes as standard. produced CRE, conducted performance evaluation combined with results. expressing all positive carbapenemasstre kit, includes 39 producing 26 8 5 2 enzymes; negative no detected. Compared results, sensitivity specificity four enzymes both 100% 2). Conclusion applied simple, rapid, sensitive specific method different types, great value accurate use anti-infective therapy.Fig. 1.Operating procedures immunochromatography.Fig. 2.Results C: Control, K: N: NMD, I: V: VIM, O: OXA-48.

Evaluation of Carba NP Method for Rapid Detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolates Producing Carbapenemase Enzymes
Background and purpose: Recently, increased resistance to carbapenem antibiotics among Pseudomonas aeruginosa has raised concerns. The Carba NP test is used for detection of carbapenemase types. This study aimed at applying Carba NP method for rapid detection of P. aeruginosa isolates producing carbapenemase enzymes. Materials and methods: A total of 97 clinical specimens was collected from pa...
متن کاملRapid Detection of Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae
To rapidly identify carbapenemase producers in Enterobacteriaceae, we developed the Carba NP test. The test uses isolated bacterial colonies and is based on in vitro hydrolysis of a carbapenem, imipenem. It was 100% sensitive and specific compared with molecular-based techniques. This rapid (<2 hours), inexpensive technique may be implemented in any laboratory.
متن کاملRapid detection of carbapenemase-producing Pseudomonas spp.
A novel biochemical technique, the Carba NP test, has been evaluated to detect carbapenemase production in Pseudomonas spp. This test was specific (100%), sensitive (94.4%), and rapid (<2 h). This cost-effective test, which could be implemented in any microbiology laboratory, offers a reliable technique for identification of carbapenemase-producing Pseudomonas spp.

Shistosomiasis is one of the important parasitic diseases in developing countries and especially remains a threat to public health in China. Many immunodiagnostic kits have shown cross-reactions with other parasitic diseases and need large volumes of serum for the tests. In this study, we evaluated partially purified soluble egg antigen (SEA) in a colloidal gold immunochromatography assay (GICA...
متن کاملStrategy for rapid detection of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae.
A prospective survey was conducted on 862 Enterobacteriaceae isolates with reduced susceptibility to carbapenems. The Carba NP test, UV spectrophotometry, and a DNA microarray were used to detect carbapenemase producers, and the results were compared to those from PCR and sequencing. The 172 carbapenemase producers were detected using the Carba NP test and UV spectrophotometry, whereas the DNA ...
